چکیده

Abstract Information about satellite antenna phase center offsets (PCOs) is indispensable for high-precision applications of global navigation systems. Pre-flight manufacturer calibrations the PCOs are available all individual Galileo satellites and each frequency. So far, geodetic usage focused on ionosphere-free linear combination E1 E5a signals. In view growing number E5b- E6-capable receivers upcoming multi-frequency applications, consistency PCO values different frequencies becomes a topic increasing importance. have been estimated from combinations E1/E5a, E1/E5b, E1/E6. The mean horizontal agree few millimeter level. X-PCOs show bias 1 cm compared to calibrations, whereas Y-PCOs free such bias. Z-PCOs systematic offset $$-11$$ - 11 $${-15}$$ 15 w.r.t. due scale inconsistencies current version International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF2020) calibrations. maximum Z-PCO difference between various amounts 4 provides measure presently achieved ground space across frequencies. This inconsistency would translate into height differences 1.6 mm associated terrestrial reference frame 0.25 ppb, when adjusting station coordinates with calibrated frequency pairs.

Estimation of elevation-dependent satellite antenna phase center variations of GPS satellites

A method for the estimation of the phase center variations of GPS satellite antennas using global GPS data is presented. First estimations have shown an encouraging repeatability from day to day and between satellites of the same block. Thus, two different satellite antenna patterns for Block II/IIA and for Block IIR with a range of about 4 cm and an accuracy of less than 1 mm could be found. T...

Spectral shaping of Galileo signals in the presence of frequency offsets and multipath channels

Recently, the authors have proposed a new class of BinaryOffset-Carrier (BOC) modulation, namely the Double-BOC (DBOC) modulation which generalizes the main modulation types used in GPS and Galileo under a single, unified formula, and allows extra-flexibility in designing the suitable spectral shaping of future GNSS signals. The goal of this paper is to extend the previous analysis to multipath...

Phase Only Synthesis of Antenna Patterns Using Iterative Restoration Methods

In this work, the method of iterative Fourier transform phase reconstruction, conventionally used in holography and optical image reconstruction, is applied to phase only synthesis of antenna patterns. The method is applied to two types of pattern synthesis problems: "main lobe beam shaping" and "side-lobe-level reduction". The proposed method is most useful in the efficient employment of attai...

DORIS satellite phase center determination and consequences on the derived scale of the Terrestrial Reference Frame

We analyzed one year of DORIS data to estimate daily corrections to the mean locations of the satellite antenna phase centers. For each DORIS satellite, we looked for possible biases, discontinuities, trends or annual signals. All SPOT satellites show very similar patterns, which are characterized by a significant constant bias of about 20 mm in the cross-track direction as well as a clear annu...
